Images
Images can be displayed within the document. It is possible to display
certain types of image, on the browser. Netscape will recognise more types
than Mosaic (Mosaic will typically load an external viewer like
LView to display images it cannot cope with). The most common
image types are GIF (Graphics Interchange Format) and JPEG
(Joint Photographic Expert Group).
Invoking an Image
If you have an image you can invoke it by typing . (Naturally, this suffix would be
particular to a file in GIF format)
This particular image was invoked by typing . The image file is available to the public via Anonymous FTP from the ExPASy Molecular Biology server located at expasy.hcuge.ch in the subdirectory /pub/Graphic
s/IMAGES/GIF.
