Images

Images can be displayed within the document. It is possible to display certain types of image, namely those in GIF or JPEG formats, on the Mosaic for Windows browser. Such a file is recognized by the file extension or suffix eg '.gif' and '.jpg'

Invoking an Image

If you have an image you can invoke it by typing <IMG SRC="image_name.gif">. Naturally, this suffix would be particular to a file in GIF format.

This particular image was invoked by typing <IMG SRC="8BNA_dna_1.gif">. The image file is available to the public via Anonymous FTP from the ExPASy Molecular Biology server located at expasy.hcuge.ch in the subdirectory /pub/Graphics/IMAGES/GIF.
