Domain boundaries of a largely non-redundant set of proteins for which structures have been submitted in the Brookhaven Protein Data Bank (Bernstein F.C. et al. & Tasumi, M., J. Mol. Biol. 112, 535-542 (1977)). The non-homologous dataserver at EMBL (by Hobohm, U., Scharf, M., Schneider, R. & Sander, C., Protein Science , 1, 409-417 (1992)) has been used as a guideline to obtain this dataset.
Domains have been identified based on the clustering of secondary structures. For details of the method you may also see the papers

A database of globular protein structural domains : Clustering of representative family members into similar folds by Sowdhamini, R., Rufino, S.D. & Blundell, T.L. Folding and Design (in press). This algorithm has presently been applied to 436 protein chains. This table will be periodically updated (currently 14th Feb. 1996).
