A short note to say thanks to daveH and richardW who have bravely tackled
and solved the DNS and listproc problems at BBK. I *know* from several
places how hard these problems can be and we owe them our thanks.

I'll write more later. At present there are about 30 people
subscribed to this list, so this will only *actively* reach 10% of you.
If some of you are reading, and want to subscribe, just:

One exciting thing is that Mike Pitt and the GNA-technical team
are going to get involved in helping with the admin technology on the
course. The actual technology of running a world-wide, electronic
course is very challenging (apart from the proteins!) So bear with us,
and if anyone would like to help take part in the actual administration
of an electronic organisation, the GNA would love to hear from you. We *are*
in the words of Tim Berners-Lee, building a whole new world.

We are *so* grateful to all of you who have offered to help, no
matter how large or small. It really makes a difference. So pleas, even
if you don't *think* you have something to contribute, you may well have.

WE ARE STILL LOOKING FOR PEOPLE TO HELP RUN THE WORK GROUPS. IT
SHOULDN'T BE ARDUOUS, AS LONG AS YOU CAN USE TWO FINGERS TO TYPE WITH
-LIKE ME! It will take a lot of the strain off us!

We've had a super offer from Cindy Bartorillo to help get people
acuustomed to the MOO. Cindy has prepared a very thorough introduction
to the MOO which involves very gentle particpation from those learning.
Hope to announce time(s) later. Meanwhile, visit when you can as there
are often people in the classroom.

P.
