Students are expected to have a degree in science, engineering or mathematics. If you do not have a degree but have significant scientific work experience, please contact us for further information.

Assessment


Assessment will be by one three hour written examination (20%), coursework within the taught units (50%) and a dissertation (30%).

Staff and Facilities


The School of Crystallography has an experienced staff with considerable expertise in the material covered in the course, details can be found in the School's Web pages (www.cryst.bbk.ac.uk). We have support from several of the UK Reseach Councils, for training at both Masters (MSc in Molecular Modelling and Bioinformatics) and PhD levels. Our innovative web based courses have won several awards (PPS Course). The School achieved an excellent score in the teaching review in February 2000 (Teaching Review).

We have excellent facilities, including a modern lecture theatre with computer projection facilities, a large computer room designed for teaching postgraduate courses and many specialised graphics workstations.
