Course Dedication
I would like to dedicate this course to the memory of
Dorothy Hodgkin who died earlier this year. I have little to add
to
Vijayan's excellent obituary. I shall always be grateful for
the support that Dorothy gave me, including two years when I was
in Legon, Ghana (where Thomas was Director of the Institute of African
Studies).
Dorothy leaves a remarkable legacy of international scientific
friendships and collaboration as well as an enormous wealth of
insight into protein structure. I hope that this course can help
to continue this tradition in a way that Dorothy would have enjoyed.
