The Bioinformatics Template Library (BTL)
Birkbeck Shield
The BTL uses templates to implement generic programming in same way as the Standard Template Library (STL). The original STL has largely been incorporated into the ANSII/ISO standard for C++. For more information on the STL, see Silicon Graphic's Programmers Guide.

The BTL is described in a poster we presented recently

Download BTL 3.0  (BTL3.tar.gz or BTL3.zip
The source code was last updated on 29th October 1999 following one year of use worldwide it is now regarded as a beta release

Note: BTL is fully tested with egcs 1.1.1 and 1.1.2.
Following the gcc/egcs merger there have been problems with more recent releases.
Use with gcc 2.95 and beyond is not presently recommended.
