The Rules of Use for the X-ray Lab

There are some conditions for using the X-ray laboratory. They are for the safety of the Staff and the Users alike.

Pins:
Please do not leave pins anywhere around the laboratory, especially around the X-Ray generator or the Detector where others may spike themselves. Pins found abandoned anywhere in the Lab will be disposed of immediately.

Liquid Nitrogen:
Please do not leave containers of Liquid Nitrogen sitting around unlabelled on working surfaces, or anywhere else they might get knocked over. Users of the X-Ray Lab are not to use any containers not designed to hold Liquid nitrogen, this includes polystyrene containers.

Tidyness:
Please leave the laboratory in the state in which you would wish to find and use it. Throw away used tissues, gloves and any other waste in an appropriate bin. Anything left behind will be disposed of immediatley and without notice due to the difficulty of tracking down messy users.

Booking:
Please book as far in advance as you reasonably can, so we can avoid clashing times. Be aware that any time before allocated beam time is usually busy. Don't leave booking until the last minute.
