Be it molecular biology, protein expression and purification, or biomolecular crystallisation, it's all happening in the Rosalind Franklin Lab. To help us work out what makes biomolecules tick we use a wide range of equipment in the lab, alongside that in the department.

The lab was built in 1996 and was opened by Professor Sir Aaron Klug on 26th June 1997. The lab is named after the famous Rosalind Franklin, who was intimately involved in determining the structure of DNA in the 1950's.
