The School has a thriving MPhil/MRes/PhD research student training programme. It receives an
annual quota of three-year MPhil/PhD research studentships from the BBSRC, the MRC and the
EPSRC. Some of
these are CASE awards, and are undertaken in conjunction with an industrial placement.
In addition we have a number of BBSRC
and EPSRC earmarked studentships each year, to undertake specific research projects.
We have available 1 year MRes studentships from the BBSRC and MRC.
We also have several 4 year combined
MRes/PhD studentships from the MRC. These studentships are available to U.K. or E.U. residents.
Occasionally we also have funds
for student support on various project grants.
