I understood that .mime.types (WITH the dot) is a client (and user)
local file containing the mappings for file extension<->MIME type.

I have now changed this and it still doesn't seem to work :-(
I've also changed it in my .mime.types file - still no joy.
Even changing the .mailcap file to
chemical/pdb echo %s
doesn't work!!!
