Is it possible that we have among us some students who do not
wish to be quite that public? Might they be affronted to be
publicly listed, in such a manner that the list could be `grabbed'
and used for purposes not intended by the Course organisers?

I heartily endorse the sentiments about international friendliness,
but I don't think we'll follow your suggestion, Harpreet, unless
we have overwhelming demands from participants so to do :-)
We've already undertaken not to reveal the registration data
to third parties, remember? The best we can offer is a list of
(already public) personal and institutional home pages :-
see http://www.cryst.bbk.ac.uk/PPS/latest/urls.html

We would very much welcome opinions of other students on this issue.

We exhort and expect participants to email into these lists, and
reveal themselves in BioMOO interaction, and so on, but we cannot
oblige it.

If and when we do interact, then let's be friendly and enjoy the spirit
expressed in PMR's preparatory material. Most of us readily reveal
our ID, institution and background; some of us even reveal our
ugly mugs (see http://www.cryst.bbk.ac.uk/personal/a_mills.html ;-)
