It would be useful to have more details, especially the link that
you were trying to follow.

You are probably right that it is a telnet problem. Can you get
in via telnet?

telnet bioinformatics.weizmann.ac.il 8888

If you can then it could be because your telnet needs configuring and
that this isn't done from the browser, or that the browser does not have
the right pathname for the telnet. You didn't say what machine you are
on - I'm guessing a PC - and I have not liked some of the telnets that I
have seen. Some require that you configure the CR/LF key(s), fo example.

When you have found your way into BioMOO and got to like it, you
may wish to get a proper MOO client, because these handle the i/o screens
better than most telnets.
