Bacteriorhodopsin was randomly alloted to me during the
initial phase of this course. I became quite fascinated with this
protein which has several unique traits, and have decided to center
my project around it. Possibly something structural on the proton channel, but
I may diversify towards proton-pumping dynamics, whatever.
Anyone sufficiently interested in this topic is more than welcome to
join in. Contributions, etc, are welcome. I have already prepared several
pages on the subject -rather preliminary stuff I'm afraid- and it should
has been mounted by Christian Frosch from my group on
