I think this is a really good idea and one that should be fairly
easy to set up. I suggest that we discuss (briefly!) on this list how we
might index such a list and then we can mount a form at BBK that people
can post to. In simple form it could have:
- reference numbers (SWISSPROT, PDB, etc)
- URL(s)
- brief description
- keywords (very important)
- authorship.

We also need an acronym.
The description would then look something like:

FOOBAR_33 (ref number)
Protein: INS_HUMAN
Description: The quaternary sturucture of insulin and domain movements
Content-types: text/html, chemical/PDB , image/gif, application/x-postscript
Contents: hyperarticle (ca. 10 pp) about ....
Author: A.B.Xyzzy
URL: http://www.plugh.com/insulin/index.html
(mirror at...)
Keywords: Insulin, quaternary structure, domain, immunology

(I am sure you can think of some more).

Please reply positively and then we can set somthing up at BBK
(and mirror it elsewhere...) It has to be searchable by keyword, though
we may also add browse features. I am sure there is a lot in the present
course that could act as seedcorn.

Lovely idea!!!
