Hi folks! Thought some of you might be interested in this. It's
genetics, not protein structure, but I figured there might be an
overlap and we all have the technology in place. It's on a chat-like
channel, much like being in a room on the MOO but without objects. To
get there you have to first sign up as a member of HotWired, which is
free; point your browser at http://www.hotwired.com/. Looks
promising!

Richard Dawkins, DNA Expert, Online from London on Monday
+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--+--

In his new book, "River Out of Eden: A Darwinian View of Life," Richard
Dawkins reinterprets DNA for the digital age. "Our genetic system, which is
the universal system of all life on the planet, is digital to the core,"
Dawkins concludes. He describes evolution as a flowing river of genes -
genes meeting, competing, uniting, and sometimes separating to form new
species. Dawkins's previous books include "The Selfish Gene" and "The
Blind Watchmaker," winner of the Royal Society of Literature Award and the
Los Angeles Times Book Prize in Science. Dawkins will log into Club Wired
from England on Monday, 17 April at 1:00 p.m. PDT.
