There are object in the MOO (recorder) which allow you to record
'conversations' and actions in the MOO. You may find these very useful
if you have group discussions. I *think* the syntax is:
@create #649 called xxxx
(where xxxx is the name of your recorder). You then have to create a
note to use, e.g.
@create $note called yyyy
(where yyyy is the name of the tape)
then
@setp xxxx.note to yyyy
(BTW I find this just as hairy as you do! But that's the way it is).
If you do *NOT* do this, you can get tracebacks ...
Then:
turn recorder on
...
read yyyy
will read what is on the tape
....
turn recorder off

read yyyy

or mailme yyyy

ETHICS OF USING RECORDERS

It is VERY IMPORTANT that no one is recorded without their knowledge. If
you do use a recorder, announce when you are going to turn it on and get
general assent. If someone joins you, tell them that the session is
being recorded.

The note can be htmlised and posted on the Web, BUT MAKE SURE
THAT EVERYONE IS HAPPY FOR THIS TO HAPPEN AND THAT IT IS CLEAR THAT THIS
WILL HAPPEN.
