is intended for discussion of all matters relating to the various
families of proteins that we will be looking at in depth towards
the end of the course.
You may wish to contribute in the production of the material for
one or more family, or express views on the content, or even start
a fresh family and appeal for collaborators in it.
It may become appropriate to spawn a separate list for each family,
depending on how much traffic we get. It may be helpful if you
mention the relevant family in your email headers (eg LECTIN FAMILY ).
You may send email messages to every member of this list by emailing to
vsns-pps-families@www.cryst.bbk.ac.uk
If you wish to reply, consider whether your reply should be addressed
to the list generally (which happens with the `reply' command) or
whether it may be more appropriate to address your reply to the
originator of the message, and act accordingly.
Be gentle and helpful, remembering that nobody knows everything.
Everybody will have access to a browser, so feel free to suggest
URLs that people may find useful.
