stereoisomer
Two compounds which differ only in the geometrical arrangment of the
atoms, and not their connectivity, are stereoisomers.
Stereoisomers are different compounds (unlike conformers).
The two major kinds of stereoisomerism are
geometrical and optical isomerism.
