Peter Murray-Rust
I am Head of Protein Structure Computing in Glaxo
Research and Development, Greenford, UK. In my spare time I help
teach an MSc course in Bioinformatics (Computing and Molecules)
in the
Crystallography Department at Birkbeck College. This has
been a major inspiration for the development of Collaborative BioMolecular
Tools.
I have also
(shamelessly) appropriated the author of the Department's motto
(Democritos) for the C++ library.
I am a member of the SEQNET management panel at Daresbury, and it
is through this connexion that I felt happy to ask Alan Bleasby for
resources here (for CBMT and www94).
I am a consultant on Marcus Speh's remarkable
award-winning course on C++. This course enables
students throughout the world to learn C++ through
a variety of WWW technologies. It gives me
great hope that CBMT will work in a similar manner!
