Basically its a set of rules for writing chemical formula in text.
Once you get the hang of it it's pretty good, and I especially like the
structure drawing program at:
http://www.daylight.com/daycgi/depict

Would it be possible to have the SMILES notation for each entry that can have
one and make this 'clickable' to give a 2D drawn structure, or should the drawn
structure be included anyway?
