Lac repressor-operator interactions

My interest is in how gene regulatory proteins bind specificially to their
DNA recognition sites. There is a large amount of data now to help
understand this DNA-protein interaction and I have used some to generate a
script to show how the lac repressor binds specifically to its DNA operator.

Links to this script can be found in Eric Martz's list of scripts in
http://klaatu.oit.umass.edu:80/microbio/rasmol/
and it would be best to follow this route if you need an explanation on what
to do.

If you are an old hand at this game then you can go directly to

As ever, comments and suggestions welcome.
