pdb files from PPS mirrors

I thought all technical problems were resolved but have recently come up
against one when trying to access pdb files from the mirror sites (eg
Daresbury, Brookhaven). When I get the files from Birbeck, they are
stamped in some way that identifies them as chemical-mime and so Rasmol
launches and the graphics appear. But the files from other sites just load
as a set of coordinates in my browser and no way can I get Rasmol to accept
them.
I'm a Mac user, using Rasmac 2.5 most of the time.
Are others having this problem? Is there a solution?

John
