I thought I had better post this correction to the list,
just in case anyone follows the wrong info -
the Irix binaries are actually at:

ftp://ftp.ncsa.uiuc.edu/Web/httpd/Unix/ncsa_httpd/httpd_1.5/httpd_1.5a-export_irix5.3.tar.Z

not the ftp location in my original reply.
I copied the next location down (SunOS 4.1.3) and didn't read it properly -
it is best following the WWW site info to get to the download addresses
anyway
