UNIX EMAIL

Pine is the recommended client software for use on the School of Crystallography's computer systems.

Other clients supporting IMAP could also be used (e.g. Netscape). However any program that requires direct access to the mail spool (e.g. Unix mail command) or to a POP server is unlikely to work as expected.

The School does not provide a POP service.

For more information see our Local pine pages

  5. When you have finished use the quit command to exit pine
